Technical Lead (Frontend), Web Platform
Full Job Description
We’re looking for an experienced technical lead to lead the engineering efforts of the Web Deployment and Distribution Services in the Web Platform team at Postman. You’ll work closely with the other lead engineers, and company senior managers to achieve our mission of creating the next 100M developers in the world. A taste of what we do:
- 700k+ daily active users
- 200+ million requests per day spread across 30+ microservices
- Resting around 20 TB of data
- Ingesting around 2TB of monthly internal service logs
- 200k+ peak concurrent web socket connections
Your day-to-day
- Lead development efforts in a team of diverse engineers spread across remote locations and our engineering hubs in Bangalore and San Francisco.
- Divide complex problems into smaller development tasks to execute with the team.
- Win together – Collaborate with desktop engineers to design and architect APIs that work seamlessly across all browsers and electron desktop platforms
- Design and implement performance-related tooling that helps our Product Engineering team to get more observability on the web application
- Perform code reviews and play a part in guiding team members through their technical growth.
What we expect from you
- 5+ years of experience creating large-scale online apps using JavaScript and/or Typescript
- 2+ years of experience designing and maintaining frontend libraries used by other developers.
- You are a skilled communicator who can explain technical ideas to other engineers.
- You are curious in how things function.
- Previous global, remote team experience
