Staff Engineer – Billion Dollar Startup – $110K – $125K

We’re looking for an experienced software engineer who can push the boundaries of our thinking of what search could be and bring industry best practices to the core product team. Your work will give our users a seamless experience to find the information they need to accomplish their tasks without disruptions.

• Experience with large-scale data processing like Spark, Hadoop, Solr, MapReduce are nice to have.

• Extensive background in algorithms and proficiency in backend first languages, such as C/C++, Java, Scala, Python, etc
• Sound judgment when balancing moving quickly with producing quality code and long-term code maintainability

• Work on Distributed, highly scalable and robust content indexing/configuration systems.
• Build advanced scalable recommendation algorithms and real time systems which provide suggestions faster than blink.
• Develop clean, beautiful code and leave it better than you found it.
• Work on a high throughput NoSQL database which helps search systems to scale for billions of interactions.
