Role Overview

Seeking an experienced Site Safety Supervisor to oversee construction site safety operations in Odisha. This role focuses on ensuring statutory compliance, enforcing SHE standards, and promoting a zero-accident culture. The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of hands-on experience in industrial and construction safety and expertise in managing contractor safety, risk assessments, and high-risk operations.

Key Responsibilities

Core Safety & Compliance

  • Implement and enforce SHE Management System across construction activities

  • Conduct Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA)

  • Ensure compliance with BOCW Act 1996, Factories Act 1948, Environmental Protection Act 1986

  • Conduct daily toolbox talks, enforce PPE usage, and maintain housekeeping standards

  • Monitor Permit to Work (PTW) system for high-risk operations: hot work, confined space, height work, lifting

Contractor & Site Safety Management

  • Supervise safety performance of multiple contractor agencies at the site

  • Conduct contractor inductions, safety training, and briefings

  • Ensure adherence to Golden Safety Rules and company safety policies

  • Perform daily safety inspections, issue Safety Observation Reports (SORs), and ensure timely closure

  • Conduct audits on scaffolds, cranes, lifting tools, and electrical equipment

Key Skills & Competencies

  • In-depth knowledge of construction and industrial safety practices

  • Strong command over IS standards (IS 3696, IS 7205, IS 3764, NBC Part 7)

  • Understanding of ISO 45001:2018 and audit processes

  • Excellent communication, team coordination, and leadership skills

  • Strong documentation and reporting abilities

  • ITI qualification in Fitter, Rigger, Welder, Electrician, or Mechanist
