The Design MEP Manager role is suited for an experienced Design MEP professional with a strong track record in delivering large-scale high-rise and mixed-use developments. The position focuses on leading the complete MEP design lifecycle, ensuring technical excellence, regulatory compliance, cost efficiency, and seamless coordination across disciplines.
The Design MEP Manager will take ownership of end-to-end MEP design for both base build and fit-out scopes. The role involves close collaboration with consultants, internal design teams, and external stakeholders to deliver integrated and constructible MEP solutions aligned with project objectives.
Role Overview
The Design MEP Manager is responsible for managing the full MEP design process from concept through detailed design. This includes overseeing consultants, guiding internal teams, and ensuring that MEP systems are fully coordinated with architectural, structural, and construction requirements. A strong focus on value engineering, constructability, and cost optimization is central to this role, along with adherence to applicable codes, standards, and client specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Lead complete MEP design coordination for base build and fit-out projects
Manage MEP consultants, design teams, and external stakeholders
Ensure compliance with statutory codes, standards, and client requirements
Coordinate closely with architectural, structural, and construction teams
Drive value engineering initiatives and constructability reviews
Optimize MEP design solutions to balance performance, cost, and execution
Mentor and guide the design team to achieve project goals
Desired Profile
Mandatory Experience
Experience with Developer or PMC organizations
Strong hands-on exposure to base build and fit-out MEP design
Proven experience on large-scale high-rise and mixed-use developments
Track record of managing projects sized at 2 million sq. ft. or more
