Role Overview
As a Full Stack MERN Staff Engineer, you will lead frontend-heavy development while owning backend architecture for scalable, secure, high-performance web applications. This is a hands-on leadership role with technical ownership, mentoring responsibilities, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement scalable, secure MERN applications across multiple teams
Optimize frontend performance using React, Vue.js, ES6+, HTML5, CSS3, SASS/LESS
Build robust backend services using Node.js, Express.js, NestJS with REST/GraphQL APIs
Work with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and serverless architectures (Lambda, CloudFunctions)
Integrate SQL/NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis) and caching/search frameworks (ElasticSearch)
Lead architecture and coding standards, promoting TDD, CI/CD, containerization, and DevOps best practices
Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and guide project delivery
Collaborate with Product, UX, QA, and Marketing teams to build outstanding web experiences
Implement security measures and ensure compliance with OWASP best practices, OAuth, JWT
Must-Have Skills
MERN Stack: React, Node.js, Express/NestJS, GraphQL
Frontend: HTML5, CSS3, SASS/LESS, responsive design, build tools (Webpack, Babel, npm/yarn)
Backend: REST APIs, serverless frameworks, cloud-native architecture
Databases: SQL/NoSQL, caching, search frameworks
DevOps: Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress, Storybook)
Strong system design, performance, security, scalability expertise
Leadership & Collaboration
Proven track record delivering complex full-stack projects
Strong mentorship and team leadership skills
Agile methodologies: Scrum, Kanban
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional global teams
