What will you be doing?

• Owning the design, architecture, and delivery of features, components, or products with a strong focus on quality and scalability

• Driving continuous innovation across the platform while staying ahead of evolving architectural and performance demands

• Collaborating with cross-functional engineering, product, and data teams to deliver end-to-end solutions

• Working closely with non-technical stakeholders to align business strategy with technical solutions

• Managing multiple priorities and rebalancing responsibilities in response to changing requirements

• Providing functional, design, and code reviews within and across teams

• Mentoring and coaching engineers, offering technical leadership and guidance

• Looking beyond implementation details to assess broader system, product, and team-level implications

• Partnering with managers to improve solution sizing, estimation, and delivery planning

What is expected from you?

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent from a reputed institution

• 10+ years of strong design and development experience building large-scale, distributed internet systems

• Extensive experience developing and operating cloud-based systems at scale

• Deep understanding of architectural styles and design patterns, including microservices, cloud computing, big data technologies, and NoSQL databases

• Strong Java programming expertise, including multithreading and performance-oriented development

• Excellent knowledge of data structures and algorithms

• Experience with open-source frameworks and modern server-side technologies in Java and big data ecosystems

• Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and technical leadership skills

• Ability to clearly explain complex systems and provide confident, insightful responses to stakeholders

• Proven track record as a high performer and collaborative team contributor in fast-paced environments

• Ability to operate independently with minimal guidance in dynamic, evolving contexts

• Strong interest in solving challenges related to massively scalable and distributed systems

• High adaptability to changing requirements, priorities, and scope

• Comfort using generative AI tools in problem-solving and coding workflows

Nice to have

• Experience building data-driven products powered by insights and analytics

• Exposure to data science or machine learning systems

• Hands-on experience working with very large-scale data platforms

• Experience with major cloud platforms, including Google Cloud Platform

• Contributions to or active involvement in open-source software

• Experience working with data security systems
