About the Role
The Operability Engineer role treats operability as a core engineering discipline, not an afterthought. Key Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with developers, product teams, and stakeholders to influence technical and operational decisions
Design and build systems with production support, maintenance, and scalability in mind
Mentor and support client engineering teams, improving operability and delivery maturity
Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Continuously deliver small, incremental changes with fast feedback loops and frequent production releases
Skills & Experience
Comfortable with pair and mob programming in cross-functional teams
Strong programming fundamentals, with experience building services supported by automated tests
Solid automation mindset, including unit testing and automated testing tools
Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, build tools, and release practices
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
Familiarity with infrastructure provisioning tools including Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM, or Pulumi
Working knowledge of observability practices such as monitoring, alerting, and anomaly detection
Experience operating, supporting, and troubleshooting software in live production environments
