Looking for Senior Electrical Design Engineer – E&I – EPC / Metals / Mineral Beneficiation Plant. Our client, a global leader in engineering solutions, is seeking an experienced Electrical Specialist to join their dynamic team. This critical role involves leading the design and implementation of electrical systems for material handling and metal/mineral processing plants within EPC contracts. The specialist will oversee all aspects of electrical engineering, including instrumentation and automation, managing projects from concept to commissioning while ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design of electrical systems for material handling and metal/mineral processing plants, ensuring adherence to project specifications and industry standards.
• Oversee instrumentation and automation components, integrating them seamlessly into electrical designs.
• Manage the entire project lifecycle, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely project delivery.
• Optimize costs related to electrical, instrumentation, and automation aspects, ensuring quality and safety standards are upheld.
• Conduct safety studies such as FEMA, HAZOP, and LOTOTO to identify and mitigate risks.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and consulting firms to ensure alignment with project requirements and regulatory standards.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes related to electrical engineering in material handling and metal/mineral processing.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Graduate or Post-graduate degree in Electrical Engineering with a design background.
• At least 15 years of experience in designing electrical systems for material handling and metal/mineral processing plants within EPC contracts.
• Strong expertise in instrumentation and automation, with experience in costing related to electrical projects.
• Industry experience in EPC, metals, mineral beneficiation, mines, and material handling.

Key Competencies:

• Technical expertise in electrical engineering for material handling and processing plants.
• Strong proficiency in project lifecycle management, from concept to commissioning.
• Sound knowledge of safety standards and procedures like FEMA, HAZOP, and LOTOTO.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multi-national and multi-cultural teams.
• Analytical problem-solving skills and commercial acumen.

Soft Skills:

• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work within global organizations (MNCs).
• Creative problem-solving mindset with a focus on solution finding and unconventional thinking.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including conflict management and active listening.

Travel Requirements:

• Willingness to travel locally and globally (20-50%).
