Role Overview: Rooftop & Solar Park Designer
The Rooftop & Solar Park Designer is responsible for planning, designing, and optimizing solar photovoltaic (PV) systems across residential, commercial, and utility-scale projects. This role involves site assessment, technical design, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder coordination to deliver efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Rooftop Solar Designer:
- Conduct site surveys to assess roof structure, orientation, and shading.
- Design rooftop PV layouts considering aesthetics, load capacity, and safety.
- Prepare electrical single-line diagrams and wiring layouts.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, fire safety, and net-metering regulations.
- Coordinate with customers, installers, and utility companies for approvals.
- Optimize system size based on customer energy demand and roof space.
Solar Park Designer (Utility-Scale):
- Conduct land feasibility studies including topography, soil, and environmental impact.
- Design large-scale ground-mounted PV layouts with optimal tilt, spacing, and orientation.
- Conduct energy yield simulations using PVsyst, Helioscope, or similar tools.
- Prepare grid integration studies, substation layouts, and transmission line designs.
- Ensure compliance with national renewable energy guidelines and IEC standards.
- Collaborate with EPC contractors, civil engineers, and environmental consultants.
Additional Requirements:
- Expertise in Balance of Material (BOM) and Balance of Quantity (BOQ).
- Willingness to travel to project sites across India.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related fields.
- Certifications in solar PV design or project management preferred.
Location: India – Pan India travel required
