QA Consultant Contract position with Cyber Security Startup in Bangalore

We are hiring on behalf of our client for a QA Consultant Testing Engineer role with strong exposure to networking, firewall technologies, and policy enforcement systems. This opportunity is well-suited for professionals who enjoy working close to core infrastructure, security products, and complex systems rather than surface-level application testing.

Job Location: Bangalore (Hybrid)
Contract Duration: 1 Year
Notice Period: Immediate to 15 days preferred

Role Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for validating the functionality, stability, and performance of networking and security solutions. You will work closely with engineering teams to ensure new features meet quality standards and align with real-world networking use cases. The role requires both strong testing fundamentals and a practical understanding of networking concepts, especially around firewalls and policy enforcement.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify end-to-end functionality of networking and security solutions across different scenarios

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test suites for new and existing features

• Actively contribute to testing strategies during feature development cycles

• Validate system behavior across different configurations and policy enforcement rules

• Collaborate with developers, product teams, and stakeholders to identify issues early

• Stay informed about evolving UX/UI trends and ensure test coverage reflects modern user expectations

• Document defects clearly, track resolutions, and support regression testing cycles

Qualifications

• BE / BTech in Electronics, Computer Science, or a related discipline

• 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in testing or quality engineering roles

Skills & Experience

• Hands-on experience in testing; programming knowledge is an added advantage

• Familiarity with web application frameworks and system-level testing concepts

• Exposure to networking products and/or security product testing is highly desirable

• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including firewalls and policy enforcement

• Ability to analyze complex systems and validate behavior across multiple scenarios
