Principal Product Manager – API Management – Chennai

We’re searching for a passionate Product Manager to join a growing team! You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of an industry-leading API Management solution. As a bridge between business goals, customer needs, and the development team, you’ll oversee the product’s entire journey, from initial concept to launch and beyond.

What You’ll Do:

• Craft a Compelling Vision: Define and communicate a clear product vision, roadmap, and goals that drive user adoption and business growth.
• Become a Market Master: Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to capitalize on opportunities and mitigate potential threats.
• Prioritize for Success: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, marketing) to create and maintain a product roadmap that aligns with business objectives and user requirements.
• Champion User Needs: Conduct user research (user stories, personas, use cases) and collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure an intuitive and user-friendly product experience.
• Own the Product in Development: Work closely with development teams in an Agile or Scrum environment to refine requirements, provide guidance, and ensure on-time delivery. Foster a collaborative environment and make data-driven trade-off decisions when necessary.
• Launch & Evangelize: Develop and execute product launch strategies, including feature announcements and marketing initiatives. Collaborate with the marketing team to create effective product collateral and promotional materials.
• Measure & Improve: Define KPIs to measure product success, analyze data and user feedback to inform continuous improvement efforts. Be prepared to adjust the product strategy and roadmap as needed.
• Bridge the Gap: Communicate product updates and progress to internal stakeholders and executives, acting as a liaison between the development team and business leaders to maintain alignment on goals and priorities.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Business, Engineering) preferred. MBA or advanced degree a plus.
• 12+ years of proven experience as a Product Manager in software development.
• Strong understanding of modern software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.).
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
• Analytical and data-driven mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
• Proficiency in project management and product management tools.
• Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and technologies a plus.
