Role Purpose

The Business Head will be responsible for establishing, leading, and scaling the institution while driving its overall business performance. The role carries end-to-end ownership of admissions, revenue, academic operations, industry partnerships, student experience, and profitability.

This position requires a strategic leader with a strong execution mindset who can build systems, develop high-performing teams, and create a sustainable, industry-aligned institution.

Key Responsibilities

Business Strategy & Growth

• Develop and execute the institution’s business strategy and long-term growth roadmap.
• Drive annual enrolment, revenue, and profitability targets.
• Own the institution’s P&L and overall business performance.
• Build scalable operating models and governance frameworks.
• Identify new growth opportunities, partnerships, and expansion initiatives.

Admissions & Marketing

• Partner with marketing teams to maximize lead generation and brand visibility.
• Drive admissions strategy and improve conversion rates across the admission funnel.
• Monitor enrolment forecasts, admissions performance, and business metrics.
• Develop scholarship and student acquisition strategies aligned with business objectives.

Academic Operations

• Collaborate with academic leadership to launch industry-relevant programmes.
• Ensure operational excellence across academic delivery and student services.
• Drive student satisfaction, retention, and overall learning experience.
• Support initiatives that enhance graduate employability and career outcomes.

Industry Partnerships & Placements

• Build strong relationships with employers across Hospitality, Business, and Wellness sectors.
• Develop internship, apprenticeship, and placement partnerships.
• Create strategic collaborations with industry associations and corporate partners.
• Strengthen employer engagement to improve placement outcomes.

Team Leadership

• Recruit, mentor, and develop the institution’s founding leadership team.
• Build a high-performance, collaborative, and accountable culture.
• Establish clear operating rhythms, performance metrics, and governance processes.
• Foster leadership development across functional teams.

Stakeholder Management

• Build relationships with regulatory authorities and accreditation bodies.
• Represent the institution with industry associations, government agencies, and external stakeholders.
• Develop strategic partnerships that strengthen institutional reputation and growth.

Ideal Candidate

• 15–20 years of progressive leadership experience.
• Proven experience in scaling a university, higher education institution, campus, or business unit.
• Strong commercial and entrepreneurial mindset.
• Demonstrated success in driving admissions growth and revenue.
• Experience managing P&L and business operations.
• Strong understanding of the higher education ecosystem.
• Track record of building teams and leading greenfield or high-growth initiatives.
