10X Engineer! – SDE 3 / Senior Engineer / Lead – End to End Product Developer – $100K – $125K

We are looking for a Staff / Lead Software Engineer (10X Engineer!) who thrives on solving complex scalability challenges in distributed systems and cloud infrastructure. You will drive the architecture, optimization, and evolution of high-performance backend systems that handle massive concurrency while ensuring efficiency, fault tolerance, and seamless cloud scaling. This role demands expertise in event-driven architectures, microservices, and large-scale data processing, coupled with a strong focus on performance tuning and intelligent cloud strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Scalable System Architecture

• Architect, build, and refine high-concurrency distributed systems, ensuring seamless scalability under demanding workloads.
• Lead the design and implementation of event-driven and microservices-based architectures optimized for efficiency and responsiveness.
• Elevate system resiliency and fault tolerance, enhancing availability and performance across global deployments.
• Drive monolithic-to-microservices migrations, ensuring agility, scalability, and maintainability.

Cloud & Infrastructure Optimization

• Design and implement cost-aware cloud architectures that optimize resource allocation without compromising performance.
• Leverage Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform to automate, orchestrate, and enhance cloud-native infrastructure.

Backend Engineering & Performance Tuning

• Build and optimize real-time data pipelines using Kafka, RabbitMQ, and stream processing frameworks.
• Engineer high-throughput, low-latency backend systems with Java, Spring Boot, GoLang, and gRPC.
• Implement advanced caching strategies with Redis, ScyllaDB, and Elasticsearch for ultra-fast response times.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, setting best practices in cloud scalability, distributed computing, and backend system design.

Required Skills & Experience

• 6+ years of experience in backend engineering, specializing in distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-native architectures.
• Expertise in Java, Spring Boot, GoLang, Python, with a deep understanding of event-driven and asynchronous processing.
• Strong knowledge of AWS/GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, CI/CD, and service mesh technologies.
• Experience with high-performance databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, ScyllaDB, BigTable, MongoDB).
• Proven ability to optimize backend systems for scalability, efficiency, and reliability.
• Strong leadership in mentoring teams, defining technical roadmaps, and driving high-impact engineering initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in real-time analytics, distributed caching, and large-scale data processing pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with GraphQL, gRPC, Prometheus, and advanced observability tools.
• Strong understanding of SLOs/SLIs, disaster recovery strategies, and high-availability architectures.
