Engineering Manager – Inventive R&D – Data Platform – $100K-$110K

We’re looking for motivated challenge-seekers who want to make a big impact and who are excited to work in a fast-paced startup environment.

You should be a player/coach, someone with significant technical chops who is willing to roll-up sleeves and to actively guide and mentor. You should be hands-on and be able to both review and write code as well as drive correct implementation. Experience of managing a team of first-level managers/tech leads, and coaching, mentoring individuals to grow in their career. Bias towards action, absolute willingness to own the problem and drive towards a speedy solution; you won’t stop until the problem is solved and the solution efficient.

• 3 or more years’ experience in technical leadership and execution of complex problems that are cross-functional in nature
• Experience in designing and developing distributed systems for large scale and complex use cases
• Excellent C++, Java and / or Python skills

Build / Lead/Coach teams of highly skilled engineers at different experience levels and provide technical expertise in the analysis, architecture, design and delivery of large-scale enterprise grade platforms, products and APIs. Be able to define and set standards for engineering rigor and help in cultivating an engineering driven culture. Drive engineering strategy and vision for the product while working closely with customers and product managers. Innovate, prototype, adopt new software and technologies as needs arise.
