Full Job Description
An engineering organization focused on end-to-end healthcare product development is looking for an Embedded Systems Engineer to join its Bengaluru team. With more than a decade of experience supporting healthcare technologies, the team has contributed to 200+ health product initiatives and partnered with 100+ global clients across medical electronics and connected healthcare devices.
The organization focuses on the design and development of home-based medical and healthcare devices, helping partners transform ideas into production-ready medical technologies.
The Bengaluru engineering center works closely with partners across India while supporting global product development initiatives. The team delivers complete product lifecycle support, from product planning and chip selection to embedded design, development, testing, and mass production.
This role offers an opportunity to work on next-generation healthcare devices, contributing to embedded firmware, electronic hardware, and medical product innovation.
Core Qualifications
Mandatory
• Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related engineering discipline
• Strong knowledge of electronic circuits including analog circuits, digital circuits, and signal systems to support full hardware development
• Proficiency in Embedded C programming with the ability to independently develop drivers, write firmware code, and debug 8-bit and 32-bit MCU platforms
• Experience working with hardware testing tools such as oscilloscopes, programmable power supplies, and signal generators
• Hands-on experience with manual soldering of SMD components and basic BGA packages, along with hardware troubleshooting
• Ability to independently debug hardware prototypes and resolve system issues
• Experience designing control board schematics and selecting components such as sensors, amplifiers, and power management chips
• Capability to perform PCB layout reviews with focus on signal integrity, EMC design, and medical device safety considerations
• Strong English communication skills to read technical documentation and collaborate with international teams and partners
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working with ADC measurement technologies, including accuracy calibration, noise suppression, and multi-channel synchronization
• Familiarity with physiological signal acquisition such as ECG or blood oxygen measurement in medical devices
• Understanding of medical electronics regulations and standards, including FDA 510(k), CE MDR certification requirements, and IEC 60601 safety standards
• Experience supporting compliance-oriented design and verification for healthcare electronics
• Exposure to the complete development cycle of healthcare products, such as blood glucose meters, blood pressure monitors, or similar medical devices
• Familiarity with product development stages from prototype design to trial production and mass manufacturing
Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop hardware architectures and schematics for healthcare and medical electronics products
• Develop and maintain MCU firmware and embedded software for device functionality
• Lead hardware prototype debugging, performance validation, and reliability testing
• Evaluate system performance including signal accuracy, stability, and power consumption
• Prepare technical reports and documentation to support design improvements and product verification
• Collaborate closely with software engineers for hardware-software integration testing
• Provide technical support during customer visits or industry exhibitions, including demonstrations and technical discussions
• Collect product feedback from customers and partners and share insights with the R&D team to support product improvements
• Conduct research on emerging medical electronics technologies, including sensors, low-power MCUs, and compliance frameworks
• Analyze competitor products and market trends to support future product design decisions
