Principal Quality Engineer – Manual Testing – Financial Intelligence Space – Bengaluru / Hyderabad

We are in search of a dedicated professional who is deeply passionate about product quality and ensuring the utmost customer satisfaction. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in driving quality objectives and elevating customer contentment with product. We are seeking quality engineers who possess versatility, leadership acumen, and unwavering enthusiasm for addressing challenges in a B2B setting.

Your responsibilities will encompass the following:

1. Take ownership of the testing process, defining comprehensive test plans, and acting as the liaison between product owners, customers, and the development team.
2. Actively participate in product planning, customer engagements, feature go/no-go decisions, and serve as the voice of the quality team.
3. Ensure that Sprint and Release deliverables meet stringent quality criteria through rigorous test planning, execution, quality assurance, and meticulous issue tracking.
4. Drive a strong emphasis on automation alongside manual testing. Certify products and manage the automation backlog to reduce manual testing workload for the next testing cycle.
5. Collaborate with key stakeholders, including Quality Centers of Excellence, customers, support teams, and the product development team.
6. Review and enhance test strategies to encompass various types of testing, such as unit, functional, performance, stress, and acceptance testing. Make informed decisions on the balance between testing comprehensively and testing sufficiently, while evaluating risks in terms of investment.

Qualifications:

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with developers, testers, product owners, scrum masters, directors, and executives.
• A minimum of 9+ years of web application development experience in a fast-paced agile environment, either as a member or leader of a testing team.
• Familiarity with Atlassian suite products such as JIRA, Bitbucket, and Confluence.
• Bonus points for automation experience in Java and Selenium.
• Prior manual testing experience within a B2B product development team.
• Previous experience leading a team of five or more individuals.
• Highly desirable if you’ve worked on data, data visualization tools, and BI client tools.
• Working experience with Bitbucket, Git, other repository management, Jenkins, Postman, Swagger documentation, and TestNG.
