Job Description – Sustainability Manager
The Sustainability Manager will lead sustainability strategy and execution across large airport infrastructure projects. This role focuses on embedding sustainability across design, construction, and operations while ensuring compliance with national regulations and global green building standards. The position works closely with PMC teams, consultants, contractors, and regulatory bodies to deliver measurable sustainability outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Sustainability Strategy & Implementation
Develop and implement a comprehensive sustainability framework aligned with project goals and global best practices
Integrate sustainability across design, construction, and operational phases of airport infrastructure
Green Building Certifications
Manage end-to-end green building certifications (IGBC, LEED, GRIHA, EDGE) for terminals and allied infrastructure
Coordinate documentation, audits, and compliance with consultants and contractors
Energy & Resource Efficiency
Drive energy efficiency, water conservation, waste management, and sustainable construction practices
Monitor implementation of HVAC optimization, lighting efficiency, and renewable energy initiatives
Regulatory Compliance & ESG Reporting
Ensure compliance with environmental laws, statutory approvals, and sustainability regulations
Prepare sustainability reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership and authorities
Support ESG disclosures, audits, and sustainability performance reviews
Stakeholder Engagement & Training
Engage internal and external stakeholders to promote sustainability adoption
Conduct training programs and workshops on sustainability goals and best practices
Required Skills & Experience
8–15 years of experience in sustainability management within infrastructure, airport, or large PMC projects
Strong expertise in green building certifications, ESG reporting, and environmental compliance
Proven experience in sustainable construction and energy/resource efficiency initiatives
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Architecture, Sustainability, or related fields
LEED AP, IGBC AP, EDGE Expert, or similar certifications preferred
