Full Job Description

About the Opportunity

This is a large, multi-project construction environment where safety is treated as a core value, not a checkbox. Sites operate at scale, involve multiple contractor partners, and demand disciplined execution of Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) standards on a daily basis.

The role is designed for professionals who believe that Zero Harm is achieved through systems, consistency, and strong on-site leadership. It suits individuals who take ownership of safety outcomes, influence teams through presence and clarity, and uphold standards even under demanding site conditions.

The Role

The Site Safety Supervisor will play a critical role in strengthening safety culture across complex construction activities. Close coordination with project teams and contractor partners will be required to ensure statutory compliance, effective risk control, and safe execution across all site operations.

This is a hands-on, site-driven role where visibility, timely intervention, and discipline matter more than documentation alone.

Key Responsibilities

Safety & Compliance

  • Drive implementation of a structured SHE Management System across construction activities

  • Conduct HIRA and Job Safety Analysis prior to work execution and ensure risk controls are applied

  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including the BOCW Act, Factories Act, and Environmental Protection regulations

  • Lead daily toolbox talks, enforce PPE usage, and maintain housekeeping standards

  • Monitor and control the Permit to Work system for high-risk activities such as hot work, confined spaces, lifting operations, and work at height

Contractor & Site Safety Leadership

  • Coordinate and monitor safety performance of multiple contractor agencies on site

  • Conduct safety inductions, training programs, and periodic safety briefings

  • Ensure strict adherence to defined Golden Safety Rules

  • Perform daily site inspections, issue Safety Observation Reports, and ensure timely closures

  • Conduct audits of scaffolding, cranes, lifting tools, electrical systems, and critical equipment

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong practical knowledge of construction and industrial safety practices

  • Sound understanding of IS safety standards and national building safety requirements

  • Working knowledge of ISO 45001:2018 and audit processes

  • Clear communication skills with the ability to influence contractors and site teams

  • Strong documentation, reporting, and follow-through discipline

Why This Role Matters

This position directly impacts on-site safety outcomes and workforce well-being. The role goes beyond monitoring compliance and focuses on preventing incidents, shaping safe behaviors, and reinforcing accountability at every level of site execution.

For professionals who view safety as leadership in action, this role offers responsibility, visibility, and long-term impact.
