About the Job

A multi-billion-dollar global leader is looking for a Principal Product Engineer with 5–6+ years of experience designing and building modern web applications. This role sits at the core of product engineering, combining deep technical ownership with strong product thinking. The work involves solving complex problems at scale and shaping systems that are built to last.

What You Will Do

  • Translate complex requirements into elegant technical solutions and intuitive user interfaces

  • Lead design, solutioning, and architecture for large-scale product features and platforms

  • Own end-to-end technical design across performance, scalability, reliability, and security

  • Review and approve high-level and low-level designs, ensuring alignment with long-term product vision

  • Drive adoption of modern architecture patterns such as microservices, event-driven systems, and cloud-native designs

  • Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, QA, and other cross-functional stakeholders

  • Ensure strong code quality, testing discipline, maintainability, and performance across layers

  • Participate in sprint delivery, bug fixes, and production support to keep systems reliable

  • Stay current with full-stack best practices and emerging technologies

Skills You Will Need

  • Strong programming experience with Core Java, Spring / Spring Boot, Hibernate, REST APIs, and Microservices

  • A strong advocate of clean code, design patterns, and SOLID principles

  • Good understanding of security best practices

  • Strong foundation in system design, data structures, and algorithms

  • Experience with distributed systems, scalability challenges, and performance optimization

  • Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and backend data flows

  • Familiarity with authentication and identity patterns across front-end and back-end systems

  • Exposure to CI/CD workflows, version control, and containerization

  • Ability to context-switch across features and applications when needed

  • Strong debugging, collaboration, and communication skills

  • Comfort working independently while collaborating in fast-paced environments

  • Experience handling production issues and critical incidents

  • Active participation in code reviews, raising the overall quality bar

  • Basic exposure to GenAI and LLMs is a plus

  • Ability to mentor, influence, and lead through technical expertise rather than people management

  • Strong ownership mindset with attention to detail
