Role Overview:
Seeking a skilled Browser Extension Developer (4–8 years) to design and develop scalable, secure extensions across Chrome, Firefox, and Edge. The role involves integrating frontend extensions with backend frameworks (Flask/Django), implementing authentication mechanisms (JWT, OAuth, SSO), and ensuring performance and security. This greenfield role offers the opportunity to shape the next-gen AI security experience directly impacting enterprise clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Build, enhance, and maintain cross-browser extensions with scalable architecture.
Design modular, testable, maintainable code adhering to OOP and SOLID principles.
Implement authentication flows including JWT, OAuth, SSO, and session security.
Integrate deeply with browser APIs (Storage, Messaging, Web Navigation, WebAuthn).
Optimize performance for modern web environments including SPA and multi-frame apps.
Work with backend APIs (Flask/Django), ensuring secure, seamless communication.
Develop security measures against XSS, CSRF, CORS, and other vulnerabilities.
Debug cross-browser issues using Chrome DevTools, profiling, and network tracing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new features and improvements.
Stay updated with browser updates, web standards, and extension store policies.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with service workers, background & content scripts
Identity federation, SAML, WebAuthn
Automated testing frameworks for extensions (Jest, Puppeteer, Playwright)
Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis
